We have a wide range of equipment for hire, to help groups run successful fetes, fairs, meetings and other events. Our equipment is only available to not-for-profit community or voluntary groups based in Sussex. We cannot hire equipment to businesses or individuals, unless they are running a fundraising event for a charity or good cause.

Hiring equipment from the Resource Centre

Booking

From any item in this online catalogue, you can link directly to a booking request form.  Or call in, phone or e-mail the Centre to book - advance booking is essential for the busy summer months and for Christmas events.

Collecting equipment

You will usually need to pick up your equipment between 1pm and 4pm.  Please allow time to fill in our hire form, and for the person on the front desk to show you how to use the equipment. Bring a deposit cheque with you.

Deposits

£35 for one item, £50 for more than one. For our laptop computers, video camera, data projector or digital camera, the deposit is £50 plus proof of address. We will return or destroy your cheque once you have returned the equipment and we have checked it.

Insurance

None of our equipment is covered by our insurance while it is on hire. Groups sign a hire agreement accepting full responsibility for any equipment they hire. If our equipment is lost, stolen or damaged while you have it on hire, we will charge you for the cost of replacement or repair.

Returning equipment

Please return equipment on time and in good condition. You will usually be asked to bring it back between 9am and 12noon so that another group may borrow it the same day.
