Free first aid training for refugees and migrants

If your group works with refugees and recent migrants to the UK, you may be able to arrange a free first aid training course with the Red Cross.

Their Adult Education Service manager, Matthew Moors, sent the following message:

I am writing to you to let you know that currently the British Red Cross in Sussex is offering free taster Everyday First Aid courses to targeted groups in the community to help boost their confidence and resilience. We are particularly keen to engage with organisations that work with refugees and migrants who may have communication issues and lack the networks in the community to get help in times of crisis. Everyday First Aid is easy to learn, easy to remember and easy to do, and feedback from participants, particularly those with English as a second language, has been very positive.   Please can you give me the contact details of who I could discuss this offer with and outline further the benefits for your service users? Thank you for your assistance and let’s make first aid, second nature!
