Aims of Fund

To support projects that add value to the environment.

Who can apply

Community Groups in Kent, Sussex and Hampshire.

How much and what can you apply for

Up to £300 for projects that add value to local environments, such as creating water efficient gardens, sensory gardens, wildlife habitats or ponds.

Examples of recent grants:

  • £200 towards a community radio station
  • £200 towards a water-themed concert
  • £100 towards the creation of a green space at a drop-in centre for the homeless
  • £200 towards funding volunteers for a reading scheme

How to apply

Complete the very short and simple online form.

Deadlines for application

A group of employees meet on the last Friday of every month to award small grants.

Beachcomber

Beachcomber is our online database of useful resources and services for groups in Sussex.  It contains contact details for people who can offer specialist help with running a group, as well as suppliers for practical resources and equipment.

Reference Library

We have a small reference library of books and information for community and voluntary groups.  Our full library catalogue is available online.  All groups are welcome to drop in and use the library, free of charge.

Front desk information service

If you have a question about running your group that is not answered here, you could try asking our front desk worker.  We will respond to your request within 7 days.  Contact us by phone (01273 606160), email, or by using our feedback form, or just drop in - we are here from 9am to 4pm Tuesday to Friday.
