Aims of Fund

To provide practical and financial support to social entrepreneurs in the UK – people with vision, passion, drive and commitment, who want to change the world for the better.

Who can apply

Examples of past applicants if available

Unlimited Millennium Awards are for people:

• over the age of 16
• living in the UK
• who are applying as an individual or informal group ( this basically means a group of individuals with the same idea -  not formally constituted. )

How much and what can you apply for

Level One: Awards of between £500 and £5,000:

They  give out 1000 Level 1 awards each year across the whole of the UK.

Level 1 Awards are aimed at individuals or informal groups of people who have an idea and want help getting it off the ground. The money is to help with the running costs of the project.

Level Two: Up to £15,000:

They  give out 100 Level 2 awards each year across the whole of the UK.

Level 2 Awards support people whose ideas are already developed or pay for the living expenses of Award Winners to help them devote more time to their projects. These Awards are given out once in the spring and once in the winter.

Complete an on-line questionnaire to check that you are eligible, then contact Unlimited by phoning 0845 850 1122.

Groups in the Brighton area need to apply through the Unlimited London office. They advise applicants to attend one of their monthly surgery days in London before submitting an application to find out more about Unlimited's work, discuss your application and find out whether your proposal is likely to be successful.

Deadlines for application

Level 1: No deadlines

Level 2: Awards are given through a national 'competition' twice a year in the spring and in the autumn..
