Aims of Fund

The Football Foundation is a partnership funded by the Premier League, The FA, Sport England and the Government. Its mission is to improve facilities, create opportunities and build communities by "revitalising the grass roots sport, investing in parks, schools and playing fields and harnessing the power of the game within our communities, to promote education and social inclusion."

Who can apply

How much and what can you apply for

Grow the Game provides funding for projects that use football to increase participation by both players and volunteers. This is done by supporting the costs associated with providing new activity. You can apply for up to £5000 over two or three years with financial support being reduced in the second or third year of the project.

Build the Game provides small grants for small facility projects. You can apply for up to £50,000. You will need to fund at least 10% of your project from another source, but preference is given to projects that have a higher level of partnership funding. All applicants must receive advice and support from their County Football Association before applying, or they will be returned.

How to apply

By application form that can be downloaded from the website.
