Grants available for: Volunteering or community service projects run by young people aged under 30.
Size of grant available: Up to £500
Who can apply
Individuals or groups of young people aged under 30, who are volunteering or running project in their local community.
How much and what can you apply for
£500, for young people who are able to demonstrate that through volunteering or community service they can enhance the lives of others, particularly those most marginalised by society.
Your project should:
- Be run by a young volunteer, or team of young volunteers
- Take place in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales
- Have a clear benefit to others in the wider community
- Most importantly, your project should encourage volunteering. Priority will be given to projects that engage as many volunteers as possible, and support young people to keep volunteering in the longer term.
How to apply
Fill in an application form, which is available on their website.
Deadlines for application
No deadlines. Trustees meet four times a year. Applications must be received three weeks before a meeting to be considered. Applications received later will be rolled over to the next meeting, so you’ll have to wait longer for a decision. A list of meeting dates is available on their website at www.alecdicksontrust.org.uk/about/trustee-schedule/
