Aims of Fund

The Resilience Fund aims to support groups that are already working with local people and communities. All applications must address any one of these three key outcomes:

  • Improving wellbeing
  • Building cohesion
  • Promoting fairness

Who can apply

Not-for-profit organisations based in Brighton & Hove, with an annual income of under £100,000. Applicants need to be able to demonstrate their past record of delivering activities. They should also show how they are networked with other organisations, provide evidence of the need for their activities or services based on experience, and give details of any funding they have already secured for this year.

Small groups with an income of up to £20,000 per year may choose to apply to the Engagement Fund instead, for up to £2,000. This may be a better option for new groups, or very small groups that need a small amount of money to provide activities for members or local residents.

How much and what can you apply for

Up to £10,000 for the costs of running activities (project costs) or the general costs of keeping your organisation going (core costs).

How to apply

Complete the online form. You will need to provide a clear description of the aims of your organisation, the work  you need funding for, and a 12 month budget for your whole organisation.

Deadlines for application

  • 15th May 2017
  • 24th July 2017
  • 23rd October 2017

All grants must be spent by 31st March 2018.
