Aims of Fund
To enable groups and organisations to meet the identified winter needs of families, children and young people.
Who can apply
Voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations, mutual aid groups, and town and parish councils across East Sussex and West Sussex. Organisations in Brighton & Hove are not eligible for this fund, but may be eligible for the Brighton & Hove City Council Winter Fund.
You must be able to complete a monitoring form at the end of the project with information about:
- What activities were carried out
- A financial breakdown of spend against criteria
- The primary beneficiary age group
- The impact and outcomes achieved
How much and what can you apply for
Up to £5,000 for projects supporting households with children, and households experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, poverty during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The funding can be used to support families with food, energy, water and sewerage bills. A portion of funding can be used to provide support with other costs, such as sanitary products, warm clothing, soap, blankets, boiler service/repair, purchase of equipment including fridges, freezers and ovens.
The grant is not for giving general advice about debt or finances, or for housing costs.
