Aims of Fund

To support individuals and communities working towards racial justice.

Who can apply

Individuals or organisations can apply.

Individuals can be change-makers, activists, innovators, social leaders, ecosystem builders and artists working outside existing organisational structures.

Organisations can be either incorporated, unincorporated and / or unconstituted e.g. community and grassroots groups/networks/projects.

How much and what can you apply for

There are three types of grant:

  • Supporting Individuals: £5k – £30k
  • Supporting Organisations- Emergency and Recovery: £5k – £30k
  • Supporting Organisations- Long Term Structural Change: £30k – £50K

The website has this list of what they would like to fund:

  • Projects that meet the immediate needs and/or impact of crisis – be it Covid-19 or otherwise – for communities of colour.
  • Ideas that present transformational and radical alternatives that will support people of colour creating solutions for change on a systemic level.
  • ‘Ecosystem builders’ – visionaries that exist between the mainstream and the margins who are working to mobilise connections and resources for the benefit of their communities. This could include: Lived Experience Leaders –POC leaders; activists; community leaders; innovators; change-makers working on racial justice.
  • Those with an international perspective, seeking to amplify and build relationships with communities in the global south in order to achieve global change.
  • They welcome projects connected to faith and spirituality.

How to apply

Read the guidance documents and answer the questions for the particular fund you want to apply for (see links below). Send your answers either as a written document or a video, by email to In the body of the email, also include the following information:

  1. What investment you are applying for: Supporting Individuals / Supporting Organisations (Emergency and Recovery)/ Supporting Organisations (Long Term Structural Change)
  2. How much money are you applying for?
  3. Applicant Name: An individual’s name who is our point of contact
  4. Organisation Name: (if applicable)
  5. Your Organisational Form: Incorporated / Unincorporated/ Practice/ Group / Collective / Organisation (you can include more than one term)
  6. Charity or Company Number: (if applicable)
  7. Contact Details: (Email, Phone Number, Address)
  8. Website or links to your work e.g. blogs, report (optional)

For individuals (£5,000 – £30,000)

Emergency and recovery funding for organisations (£5,000 – £30,000)

Long term structural change for organisations (£30,000 – £50,000)
