Grants available for: Not-for-profit groups in East and West Sussex
Size of grants given: Up to £10,000
Aims of Fund
To help community and voluntary groups continue to respond to the Covid-19 pandemic and support projects about: mental health and wellbeing; reconnecting people and communities; and reducing health inequalities.
Who can apply
Not-for-profit groups and organisations, with an annual income of up to £2 million, delivering projects and services supporting residents in East Sussex and West Sussex.
Projects or groups that only support residents in Brighton and Hove are not eligible for this fund. For projects supporting mental health and wellbeing, they can apply to the Brighton & Hove City Council Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund.
How much and what can you apply for
Up to £10,000.
This funding is particularly aimed at supporting people who experience social, economic and health inequalities. This includes people with a protected characteristic defined under the Equalities Act of 2010, people who are homeless or insecurely housed and people on low incomes and/or living in areas of high deprivation.
Funding will be granted to projects in one of the following areas:
- Mental health and wellbeing;
- Reconnecting people and communities;
- Reducing health inequalities.

Deadlines for application
There are no deadlines. Grants are awarded on a rolling basis, with decisions expected within 3-4 weeks of submission.
