Make a donation

We are a small charity. Over 90% of all our income is spent directly on providing services for community groups.

We keep all our prices as low as possible because we know small groups often have small budgets. If you are able to contribute a bit more, it will help ensure we can keep our valuable services running into the future.

If you can’t make a donation, you can still support us by becoming a Friend of the Resource Centre.

When you make a donation, we will ask you for your contact details. For information about how your personal data is processed, see our privacy policy.

Make a one-off donation…

You can make a donation via Wonderful. They don’t take a fee, so we get all the money. You can also tick a box to say if you are a UK taxpayer, and we’ll get an extra 25p Gift Aid for every £1 you donate.

You can now also opt to donate to us whenever you purchase items on Amazon. To do this, use whenever you want to make a purchase. We are listed as one of the charities on their list. Look for “Brighton And Hove Social Welfare And Educational Trust Limited”.

…or set up a regular payment

There are two ways to set up a regular payment: GoCardless or by standing order.

GoCardless are an online direct debit provider. It is very quick and easy to set up. They will deduct 20p per transaction for payments up to £20, and 1% per transaction for payments of more than that.
Set up a monthly payment: £3/month £5/month £10/month £20/month
Set up an annual payment: £20/year £50/year £100/year

If you are a UK taxpayer please also fill in our Gift Aid form, and we we’ll get an extra 25p for every £1 you donate.

Standing Order

If you set up a standing order, we do not have to pay any fees to a third party. Setting up a standing order is really easy. You need to tell your bank to pay £3 per month (or however much you like) into our bank account. Our details are as follows:

Bank Name: Lloyds Bank
Account Name: B&H SWET Ltd
Sort Code: 30-91-25
Account number: 00316335
Reference: Your name/group

If you are a UK taxpayer please also fill in our Gift Aid form, and we we’ll get an extra 25p for every £1 you donate.

If you donate by standing order, we have no way of knowing that you’re supporting the Resource Centre. It’s really useful to us to know who you are and how much you are donating. So, could you please let us know if you set up a recurring payment? We won’t share your details with anybody.

Gift Aid

Boost your donation by 25p of Gift Aid for every £1 you donate. Please complete the form below if you are a UK taxpayer.

Gift Aid is reclaimed by the Resource Centre (Brighton & Hove Social Welfare and Educational Trust Ltd) from the tax you pay for the current tax year. Your address is needed to identify you as a current UK taxpayer. Please notify us (Brighton & Hove Social Welfare & Educational Trust Ltd) if you wish to cancel this declaration, if you change your name or home address, or if you no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains. If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self-Assessment tax return or ask HM Revenue and Customs to adjust your tax code.
