Who can apply
As long as your project is charitable in some way and benefits people in the community of Brighton & Hove, you can apply.
How much and what can you apply for
If your idea is shortlisted, you will be invited to present it at a Brighton Soup Event. The people attending will vote on which idea should be funded. The funds awarded are raised through event tickets and donations, the winning projects are getting about £1,000. The runners up also get a small contribution of around £100/150 – dependent on ticket sales.

Brighton Soup evenings are run 3-4 times a year.
The deadline to apply to pitch at the next Brighton Soup evening is midnight on Wednesday 28th May 2025
They hold an open ‘pitch training’ events leading up to each Brighton Soup evening
The next Brighton Soup evening will be on Friday 28th March 2025
