Computers and Internet

There is always someone on the front desk who can give backup support with using our network and most applications on the computers, and with using the internet. It's a good idea to book in advance. Just call in, e-mail, or give us a ring.

Network of PCs, with internet access

We have four PCs available, plus a laptop. One PC has an A4 scanner. The photocopier can also be used as a scanner (up to A3 size). Arabic keyboard available with two of the computers set up for typing in Arabic (please let us know if you require this).

Computer use 70p per hour including unlimited internet access. Contact us to book time on the computers.

Laptops available for hire

Three PC laptops: Toshiba, Ergo Vista, Ergo Preceptor

  • £12.00 for up to one week's hire.£50 deposit plus proof of address.
  • All laptops carry our general software package (outlined below), with the exception of PageMaker.
  • All laptops have wireless internet capability. The Ergo Vista has pay-as-you-go internet access also.
  • Two laptops have Firewire and all have USB ports.
  • We can supply an external hard drive with each laptop, for storage of video footage and other large files.
  • All the laptops have DVD burners. 
  • Allow half an hour for basic training when you come to collect it.

Printouts

For single copies of black & white documents, use our laser printers. If you want more than one copy, or colour printouts, use our photocopier. For more than 60 copies of each page, our copyprinters are even cheaper. See our Printing page for copying and printing prices.

Direct printing to digital copyprinters and photocopier

You can print your artwork directly from our computers to our printing machines and photocopier. This gives better quality when printing photographs and shading.

Colour scanners

Scan in graphics or text, up to A3. Free

  • QuarkXPress 7 (only available on one computer - please specify when booking)
