Aims of Fund

To make a significant difference to the most needy/small/ambitious groups based in Brighton & Hove.

Into 2015 the trustees would like to become much more of a ‘facilitating’ resource, helping local groups to realise plans that benefit the community more.

Who can apply

Small groups in Brighton & Hove (no religious, animal or personal causes). You do not need to be a registered charity. So far they have provided grants for carer respite, community education, child befriending and the Whitehawk foodbank.

How much and what can you apply for

The trust typically award about £5,000 per quarter overall to groups. Groups should be able to demonstrate how the funding will make a significant difference to their cause.

How to apply

Go to their website:

Before you can apply fully, you will first need to complete a preliminary application form with a little background about your organisation, your specific cause and your current needs, with a rough idea of the amount of funding you are seeking.

The trustees will check/visit all successful applicants before actual payment of any funds.
