Aims of Fund

The Resilience Fund is currently providing funding for community-led projects to help reduce carbon in the city.

Bids are invited for up to £10,000 for innovative projects contributing to carbon reduction in the communities of Brighton & Hove.

They are looking to support projects that promote active and sustainable travel, create and improve open spaces, support a ‘reduce, repair, reuse and recycle’ approach, or other ideas that contribute to the city’s pledge to become carbon neutral by 2030.

Who can apply

Applications will be open to locally-based community and voluntary organisations, and the planned project must be solely for the Brighton & Hove area.

How much and what can you apply for

Funding can pay for core costs of the group or organisation, project costs or a combination of both, as well as small items of equipment costing up to £250 each. Funding must be spent by 30th September 2021.

How to apply

Applications open on 19th October, and must be made via the council’s Community Fund online portal.

The decisions on funding will be announced in week beginning 18 January 2021.
